Faith Formation for the youth of our Church
Our Christian Education program consists of weekly Sunday School classes. Babies, children, and youth are always welcome to stay in church for the entire worship service!
We offer Sunday School for all children ages 3 to 14. Children’s Sunday School classes meet every Sunday morning from September through June. We encourage the participation of children and youth in our worship services, so children start with adults in worship. Those that would like to attend Sunday School are dismissed from the sanctuary about fifteen minutes into the service.
Our Sunday School is currently working with a one-room schoolhouse model of education. Children of all ages are in class together to build community and connections. Generally, we begin each session by reading and discussing the scripture lesson from the service. We use one of our youth bibles to make sure that the scripture or bible story is accessible and understandable for all involved. We then move on to a planned activity, which can range from an art project to an extended conversation, to mission and outreach planning. We hope your children will join us!
